Distribution
Australasia: found in the lowlands of Solomon Islands and Bismarck Archipelago.

This is a monotypic species[1].
Placed in genus Pseudeos[2] by Gill and Donsker.
Habitat
Mangroves and lowland forests.

Diet
The diet includes fruit.
Breeding
The eggs are white and are incubated by the female.
