Genus: Paramythia

Description

This genus contains only one species, the Crested Berrypecker from New Guinea.

Taxonomy

Paramythia is a monotypic genus in the Family Paramythiidae.
This genus was formerly placed in the family Dicaeidae (Flowerpeckers) and even suggested to be an aberrant Bulbul.
It is also sometimes placed in the Family Melanocharitidae.
