Myadestes lanaiensis

Identification

Length 18 cm. Brown above, pale grey below, darkest on throat. Pale buff undertail-coverts.

Similar Species

In appearance very similar to the 'oma'o of Hawai'i.

Distribution

The Maui Nui complex: The islands of Molokai, Lanai and Maui of Hawaii, USA. They were last observed on Molokai at the time of the original Hawaii Forest Bird Surveys around 1980, and are almost certainly extinct.
