Ochre-flanked Tapaculo - BirdForum Opus

Eugralla paradoxa

Identification

Grey, ochre rump, undertail, and rear flanks. The legs are bright yellow. The juvenile is barred all over.

Distribution

Chile and Argentina.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.

Habitat

Dense undergrowth.

Behaviour

Its nest is bulky and globular with a side entrance, placed hidden above ground. 2 eggs are laid and both parents tend the nestlings.
