Spizocorys obbiensis

Identification

Length 13 cm. The Obbia Lark has a heavily streaked breast and dark malar stripe. It has a pale eye-ring and a broad, buffy eyebrow.

Distribution

Coastal Somalia.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.

Habitat

Vegetated dunes and sandy plains.

Behaviour

Little known, although locally common. The species has been observed in pairs and in groups of up to 30 birds.
