- Cranioleuca marcapatae
Identification
Adult is mostly rufous. The white supercilium is bordered above with black. Crown is either rufous or white depending on subspecies. Juvenile has underside scalloped.
Distribution
Peru and according to some sources also in Bolivia
Taxonomy
Two subspecies are recognized[1]:
- C. m. marcapatae
- C. m. weskei
Habitat
In the understory of moist montane forest (elevation 2200-3500 m asl) with preference for Chusquea bamboo.
Behaviour
Mainly eats insects and other invertebrates
