Distribution
Taxonomy
Two subspecies recognized:
- C. m. madagascariensis in the lowland forests of Madagascar
- C. m. dilutus in southwest Madagascar (Sakaraha region)
This species has been placed in various genera, including Ispidina and Ceyx.
Habitat
Behaviour
Diet includes frogs and insects.
