Identification
18cm. Black with a blue gloss, chin and throat brown, brown-black tail, red eyes, legs and feet, black bill.
Distribution
Extinct, formerly Kosrae Islands (Micronesia); last reported 1828
Taxonomy
A monotypic species.
Formerly placed in genus Porzana.
Habitat
Coastal swamps and marshland.
Behaviour
Unknown.
