Myadestes myadestinus

Identification

Extinct. Hurricanes Iwa (1982) and Iniki (1992) destroyed much of the native forests which were the last refuge of the kama'o. It has not been observed since hurricane Iniki. In appearance the kama'o looked much like Hawai'i's 'oma'o, but somewhat larger.
