Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies^[1]:

• B. i. leucurus (togoensis):

• Sierra Leone to Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Togo

• B. i. indicator (chlorosaturatus):

• Nigeria to southern South Sudan, Uganda, and western Kenya, south to northern Angola, southern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and extreme northwestern Zambia
