- Yellow head stripes, wing bars and underparts
- Pale yellow median head-stripe extends to bill
Distribution
Asia: endemic to Hainan (southern China)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Generally found in secondary broad-leaf forest and edges of mature tropical forests. Much less commonly seen in primary forests.
Behaviour
They forage singly, in pairs and in large groups, including mixed species flocks.
Diet
Their main diet consists of insects; however, there is little detailed information available.
