Identification
Length 13 cm
- Sooty grey with very indistinct barring on underparts
- Greyish-brown face
- Dark tail contrasts with paler grey back
Similiar Species
Darker and greyer than Miombo Wren-Warbler.
Distribution
Africa: southeastern South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, northeastern Uganda, Kenya, and northeastern Tanzania.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Has been considered conspecific with Miombo Wren-Warbler.
Habitat
Dense undergrown in dry woodland and cacia savanna.
Behaviour
Has the habit of waving their long dark tail.
Diet
Forages on or near ground for invertebrates.
