• North-eastern Venezuela to the Guianas and adjacent northern Brazil

• B. c. tenuifrons:

• Northern Brazil (upper Rio Negro in Amazonas)

• B. c. solimoensis:

• Northern Brazil (Codajas and Manaus regions)

• B. c. tuipara:

• Coastal northern Brazil (Rio Tapajós to ne Maranhão)

• B. c. chrysosema:

• Western Brazil (Rio Madeira to n Mato Grosso)
