Identification
Distribution
Asia: found from India (Assam), to Myanmar, China, Thailand, and Indochina.
Taxonomy
Pale-faced Bulbul was formerly included in Flavescent Bulbul.
Subspecies
Clements recognizes these subspecies[1]:
- P. f. flavescens: Hills of southern Assam (south of the Brahmaputra) to western Myanmar
- P. f. vividus: North-eastern Burma to south-western China (Yunnan), Thailand and northern Indochina
- P. f. sordidus: Southern Indochina
Habitat
Evergreen montane forest and forest edges. Observed at heights around 3300 meters.
