There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- D. a. anthonyi:
- Northern Philippines (montane forests of Luzon)
- D. a. kampalili:
- Southern Philippines (montane forests of Mindanao)
- D. a. masawan:
- Southern Philippines (Mount Malindang on north-western Mindanao)
Habitat
Uncommon in all levels in montane forest above 800 m. Observed at heights around 1700 meters.
