Identification

Distribution

Eastern Africa: found in Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Taxonomy

Oriolus monacha has two subspecies:[1]

  • O. m. monacha
  • Northern Ethiopia and Eritrea
  • O. m. meneliki
  • Southern Ethiopia

Habitat

Montane juniper forest.
