Identification

11cm (4¼ in)

  • Dull olive upperparts
  • White eye-ring and supraloral spot
  • Dull grey throat and breast
  • Whiter belly
  • Yellow wing bend
  • Yellow on crissum

Distribution

South America: found in south-eastern Brazil (south-eastern Bahia) to eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Humid forest and secondary growth where it forages in the undergrowth especially in bamboo patches.

Behaviour

Diet

The diet includes insects which are hawked aerially.
