Northern Africa: found only in Egypt
Eastern Africa: Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Somalia
Middle East: Israel, Jordan, Arabian Peninsula, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman

This is a polytypic species[1] consisting of 4 subspecies.
