South America: found only in Peru.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies[1]

  • C. a. albicapilla:
  • Andes of Peru (Junín, Huancavelica, Apurímac and Ayacucho)
  • C. a. albigula:
  • Andes of south-eastern Peru (Cuzco)

Habitat

High-altitude shrubland and moist montanes, observed at heights around 2500-4000 m
