Overview
Choke Canyon State Park, consists of two units, South Shore and Calliham. It is 26,000 acres in size and is located on Choke Canyon Reservoir, which supplies Corpus Christi, which is about 70 miles to the southeast.
The park is on the central section of the Great Coastal Birding Trail - site no. CTC 82.
