Eastern Africa: found in Eritrea and Ethiopia.

Taxonomy

Some authorities place this species in Chloropicus.

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Savanna and juniper highlands.

Behaviour

Diet

There is little known about their diet; they forage in trees.
