Genus: Platylophus
Description
This genus contains only one species, the distinctive Crested Jay from southeast Asia.
Taxonomy
Platylophus is a monotypic genus in the Family Corvidae.
The taxonomic placement of this genus has long been questioned and it may not be a corvid at all. Some have suggested that it would better be placed in the African family of Bush-shrikes.
