Taxonomy

Neorhopias if recognized would be a monotypic genus in the family Thamnophilidae. Clements was the only authority who recognized this genus containing only the species Narrow-billed Antwren. All other authorities place this species in genus Formicivora. Clements has now adapted to this treatement.
