Genus: Melanospiza
Description
Males of these species has blackish head and breast and pink legs.
Taxonomy
Melanospiza is a genus in the family Thraupidae.
It was formerly placed in the family Emberizidae.
This genus was originally used only for St. Lucia Black Finch but Black-faced Grassquit has recently been shown to be closely related to this species.
