Description
Two passerines from South America.
Both species are relatively slim-looking birds with a crest and a relatively long tail.
Taxonomy
Lophospingus is a genus in the family Thraupidae.
It was formerly placed in the family Emberizidae but molecular data confirm the placement within the Tanager.
