Genus: Liocichla
Description
This genus contains four (sometimes split to five) colourful Babblers, one of them discovered very recently.
They are all relatively small, have a sharply square-ended tail with narrow paler tips (red in three species), colored wingpanels, rather long rictal bristles and hind claw.
Taxonomy
Liocichla is a genus in the Family Leiothrichidae.
It was formerly included in the family Timaliidae.
Red-faced Liocichla has also been placed in Garrulax in the past, but molecular study confirms it to be a Liocichla.
