Genus: Heteroscelus

Description

Would contain Grey-tailed Tattler and Wandering Tattler.

Taxonomy

Heteroscelus if recognized would be a genus in the family Scolopacidae containing the Tattlers. Recent results indicates that the Tattlers should be moved to genus Tringa, something that has so far been followed by AOU (both NACC and SACC) and Clements; Opus has also changed because Sibley and Monroe already had placed the Tattlers in Tringa.
