Genus: Heliangelus
Description
Sunangels are hummingbirds from western South America.
Taxonomy
Heliangelus is a genus in the family Trochilidae.
Note that Bogota Sunangel Heliangelus zusii is no longer recognized. It was described from a single specimen, which now is believed to represent a hybrid between Long-tailed Sylph Aglaiocercus kingii and an as yet unidentified second species of hummingbird[1].
