Genus: Donacobius
Description
This genus contains only one species which ranges from eastern Panama to northern half of South America (east of the Andes).
Taxonomy
Donacobius is a genus in the Family Donacobiidae. The relationship of the Donacobius has been very unclear: it has in the past been placed in families Mimidae and Troglodytidae. DNA studies have revealed that its closest relatives seems to belong to the Old World warbler complex; it would most likely be near Locustellidae or Bernieridae.
