Genus: Carpospiza
Description
A single species, Pale Rockfinch.
It differs from other Rock Sparrows by its triangular-shaped wings (giving it a lark-like appearance in flight). It also builds an open cup nest in a bush (not in a hole).
Taxonomy
Carpospiza is a genus in the family Passeridae.
This species was originally described as a member of genus Petronia
