  • White supercilium
  • Greyish-brown crown and upperparts
  • White edges to outer scapulars

Distribution

South America: found in Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay.

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are 2 subspecies[1]:

  • F. m. bahiae:
  • North-eastern Brazil (eastern Maranhão to northern Bahia and western Pernambuco)
  • F. m. melanogaster:

Habitat

Woodland and dense scrub.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of a variety of insects and spiders.
