Dendroica subita

Identification

Bluish grey upperparts with a slight brownish tinge, yellow underparts becoming whitish on vent and untertail coverts. The arch below the eye is offset by a relatively weak border. Some birds show stronger white wingbars than the one seen in the photo by njlarsen, as well as white edges to flight feathers.

Similar Species

Similar to Adelaide's Warbler and St. Lucia Warbler but not overlapping in range.

Distribution

Barbuda in the Lesser Antilles.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].
Formerly placed in genus Dendroica.

Habitat

Dry shrubland but often near water holes or canals.

Behaviour

Mainly eats insects and other invertebrates.
