Overview
The park contains oak savanna and old farm fields at the top of river bluffs, and forested valleys draining to the river shore below. Much of the grassy fields are going through prairie restoration projects.
Birds
I was here on an unseasonably warm February morning, and surprisingly I saw very few birds - just a handful of crows, chickadees and cardinals.

History and Use
I guess this is only a birding destination in warmer months. In winter there are groomed cross-country ski trails, and in warmer months the park is probably quite crowded.
