Overview
Ånderdalen (Norwegian: Ånderdalen nasjonalpark) is a large national park on the island of Senja, to the south of Tromsø. Much of the park is mountainous, reaching more than 850m at the highest point, the remainder is pine and birch forest on the more sheltered side of the island and there are several lakes.
Some of the gnarled and twisted pines of the valley forests are thought to be as much as 500 years old.
