Hello friends, I need some urgent help. For the last 2 or 3 months I have heard noises in my garage and didn't take notice until yesterday. I went to investigate and saw a pair of Myna birds (male and female) hastily making a nest. It was quite large since it had been going on for a while, so I decided to destroy the nest (there were no eggs in there). I saw the birds watching me, and I thought they would go away. This morning when I woke up the birds had returned and in a couple of hours had made another nest! I destroyed it and threw the nest away, but they won't go away! I have tried hosing the whole area down, throwing mothballs in there, pieces of tin-foil, scaring the birds by throwing sticks at them, but nothing seems to work. They just fly away and come back when I leave. The area is in my carport just above my roller-door garage door. There is a little gap and that is where they are nesting. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to harm these creatures, as I believe they have just as much right to be there as I do, but it is getting very annoying, getting up on the ladder, and removing the nest everyday. Has anybody had any problems or past experiences with Myna birds? If you could help me, I would be very very appreciative. I live in Sydney, Australia and there isn't much stuff available to combat these.
Thanks in advance guys
