Tsunami!!! Every bird for itself!!! (Pluvialis apricaria)

I must admit I was quite worried about the show I was seeing through the camera while lying by the scene!!! o:D These are the risks of trying to compose birds with nature! :-O

Hope this crop works after trying many different ones, I concluded the more I show of the wave, the better

very nice Marian! love the background, hope you didnt get wet with this mini Cantabrian Tsunami. :)

Excellent Marian, a wonderful "sharp" shot! those shells look pretty lethal to me! :t:

What a depth, what a light, what a setting, what an expression on this plover face!!! What a great image!!! Absolutely stunning (and thanks too to the various kinds of drops on your lens or in the BG ;) ) and miraculous,Marian :t::t::t::t: Your best of all? ;)

A brilliant shot. I like everything about it: the sharp detail of the bird's plumage, the light-coloured bed of cockle-shells in the foreground contrasting with the dark menace of the sandy wave in the background.

Yes, good crop with the wave. Full of energy! Wonderful catch of this beautiful bird and scene Marian!:t::t:

Fantastic!! Great detail on ther bird - love the shells, the background - and the crop is just right! Wonderful image!!

A wonderful shot Marian,a nice clean image ,and breaking wave in the background, well done.

The perfect setting for this beauty .... a Venus among the shells, the bird I mean ;) ;)
