Hello and welcome to the forum! I don't know, but I think a sufficiently slippery substance could work better than the spike panels (not sure what material the sheet you affixed above is made of). The below is supposed to work for trees:
Still, there might be better solutions meant specifically for houses and protecting people.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Thanks! I have the acetate material on there as recommended by the article, although I think I tied it too tight around the post. This was the only post the snake could climb last year because it’s ridged. Hoping to keep the babies safe😊
