Concealed!
This wee Coal Tit was making constant visits to my window feeder, but always grab and run..... day after day I missed getting him.

Then he stopped for a longer feed, but partially hidden by the upright, and in fact mostly wholly obscured by it. So of around 20 shots, this was the only one that didn't have some motion blur and was usable for upload here.

A right p.i.a. bird this one, but my Robin is overtaking him now!!! LOL

March weather update: horrendous day here yesterday with constant snow showers (blizzards) from lunchtime on. Combined with a strong gusty wind made it look most unpleasant out (I didn't try).

I have to go out later, but whether I'll venture as far as Tesco, remains to be seen. No doubt their supplies are running a bit low too. It's snowing now, very tiny flakes, and still windy. My window feeders have a snow topping to them!

Great capture of this little fellow. Snow just started here hope will not get to much of that white stuff - to bad for an "african"!

Excellent capture, Delia! Good to see that she has the dining room to survive this bad winter... I think that feeding is main thing for bird survival... Great work!

A sweet little one at your feeder! Hope the robin will learn to share. Stay safe in that bad weather.

a nice picture, Delia! Compared to great and blue tits, these coal tits are indeed quite nervous and most of the time frustratingly difficult to get into the camera.

A lovely capture of this tit. Interesting to read your narrative as well. Enjoy the snow and stay safe. :t:
Today was mild at 1C. Currently -2,7C with a chance of snow showers overnight.
Probably the last snow this winter here.

Marvelous window feeder of this cutie with excellent eye contact. Be careful going out in the horrendous weather D. TFS!

How nice to get the coalie in the end! Conditions weren't on your side, but I do like the gentle colour tones, and how the bird's head stands out against a paler part of the background. I hope you can get some essential supplies in soon and won't need to touch the bird food!
