Black-spotted Stream Frog (Staurois guttatus/natator)

This frog is a semi-diurnal tree frog that associates with lowland rainforest streams. It is likely to be part of a complex of criptic species spread throughout parts of SE Asia. Recent research on this frog complex has shown that part of its social repertoire includes communication via foot waving.
