Bearded reedling (male) (Panurus biarmicus)

I didn't post any pictures last Saturday as we were at Lake Tkern. As our main reason for being there was to photograph Bearded reedlings, I'm posting 3 pictures of them today.
Autumn is a good time to photograph Bearded reedlings as there are peak numbers of them and all the birds have moulted into adult plumage. I've never seen as many as we saw last weekend though. They were were noisy too though I love listening to them.
We also saw large numbers of Common cranes (6,700 were reported) and Greylag geese.
