Black Woodpecker; ad male. Brenne Woodlands (Berry). In another big old Spruce, yesterday. A Spring feeling to this image, with the sunshine and some Ivy leaves in the background ( an evergreen plant though ;))

Wow wow wow! I've heard where I have to go to see them here, or at least hear them. Perhaps in a few weeks it's time for me to drive up there and listen and see if I can find one.
