    hi we lived in filey 12 years ago and we had a house martins nest above our front door in claremont if anybody knows the area,would like to see if there is any nests in durham city area does anybody know of any,my transport is a push bike(aptly named)

    seen this sparrow on garage roof for about 5 minutes with fresh green leaves in its mouth then it took off,was the material not to fresh for nesting or some other use.

    i am a retired and spend a lot of time birding in the durham city area although 70 years old i am still an amateur and still learning,i tend to spot a bird when notice the details,then look it up when i get home,also meet some nice genuine people.

    we lived in filey north.yorks for a couple of years and had house martins nesting on our house.since we moved back to durham city i was wondering if there is any nests in the durham city area,i have never seen any.cheers
