Distribution

Yucatan Peninsula, Grand Cayman Island, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, and the United States.

Taxonomy

V.m. caymanensis

Location: Grand Cayman Island.

Polytypic. Consists of two subspecies:

V.m. magister in the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres and adjacent islands.

V.m. caymanensis on Grand Cayman Island.

Habitat

Dry forests and mangrove forests.
