Identification
9.5-10 cm. Green upperparts and off-white underparts, bold yellow stripe over each eye, prominent yellow double wing bars, black and white pattern on the tertials and long supercilia.
Distribution
Breeds in Asia east from the Urals to China.
Taxonomy
There were formerly considered to be three subspecies, but humei and mandellii are now split as a separate species.
