Mainly black, white wing patch, pale eye.
Distribution
Southern Mauritania and Senegal east to southern Sudan, South Sudan, and southwestern Ethiopia, south to northern Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and extreme western Kenya
Taxonomy
Formerly placed in genus Parus.
Habitat
Coniferous woodland.
Behaviour
It nests in a tree crevice; 4-6 reddish-brown blotched pinkish-white eggs are laid.
