13 cm in length. A black and white bird with a white ear patch. White chest and belly.

Distribution

Found in Australia from Cape York down to Northern New South Wales.

Taxonomy

Formerly placed in genus Monarcha.

Habitat

Rainforests and closed forests.

Behaviour

Diet consists of insects caught up in the forest canopy.
