- Pycnonotus taivanus
Identification
18cm. Black cap and moustachial stripe, white head, grey white ear coverts, chin and belly, dark grey breast, olive upperparts, brown wings and tail edged olive yellow, dark brown iris, black bill, orange spot at base of lower bill, black legs.
Its decline has been caused by hybridisation with the closely related Light-vented Bulbul Pycnonotus sinensis.
