Bolivia to Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
Habitat
Pastureland, towns, scrubby areas, and heavily degraded former forest.
Behaviour
It parasitizes the nest of the Grayish Baywing.
