Scytalopus femoralis

Alternative name: Peruvian Rufous-vented Tapaculo

Identification

Distribution

Endemic to Peru, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, south of the Río Marañon.

Taxonomy

Monotypic.
Has in the past considered to be conspecific with Long-tailed Tapaculo.

Habitat

In montane forest, between 1000 and 2600 masl. Usually in dense understorey, like other tapaculos.
