Eastern Africa: Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are two subspecies[1]:

- C. r. reichardi:
- South-eastern Zaire to Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and northern Mozambique
Habitat
Dry savanna. Miombo woodland and areas of granite inselbergs.
